This Privacy Policy explains what Intermission Quiz collects, how we use it, and the choices available to patrons when creating an account and participating in quizzes.

We collect the information you provide directly, such as your email address, username, city, account preferences, and consent selections. We also collect gameplay information, quiz results, device/browser data, and operational events such as sign-in and account activity.
If you use show selection, notifications, or venue-aware features, we may process the show you selected, venue presence signals, performance context, and related notification token data to support quiz access and theatre-specific experiences.
We use your information to create and maintain your account, operate quizzes, personalize your experience, administer prizes or promotions, improve the service, protect against abuse, and communicate important account or gameplay information.
If you opt in, we may send quiz updates, offers, and theatre news by email, including messages informed by shows you attend. Marketing emails are optional and are not required to use the quiz. You may unsubscribe at any time.
We may share data with service providers and partners who help us host the platform, deliver communications, support theatre activations, or administer promotions. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
We retain account, consent, and gameplay records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain reporting, administer promotions, resolve disputes, and meet legal or contractual obligations.
You can choose whether to receive marketing emails. You may also request password resets through the app and can stop using the service at any time. Deleting a Firestore user record does not necessarily delete the linked authentication account unless separately handled by our systems.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the information we store, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version recorded with your account reflects the policy version accepted when your signup consent was captured.
